ALS Center Karolinska

The regional MND clinic at Karolinska University Hospital provides multidisciplinary care to all MND patients in the Stockholm region with 2.3 million inhabitants. In alliance with Karolinska Institute research centre, we integrate the clinic with clinically oriented research.

The main focus is on epidemiological research, riskfactors and prognostic information for ALS/MND, biomarker analysis and imaging. All patients are part of the national Swedish MND registry, which base is located in our clinic.

The ALS Treatment Center Karolinska (ALS Treat) was created in cooperation with the MND clinic and the research centre to enable the patients and their families an opportunity to also participate in clinical trials.
