Professor Leja Dolenc Grošelj MD, PhD, is the Head of Sleep Centre at the Institute of Clinical Neurophysiology, University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Prof. Dolenc Grošelj was trained in Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. She is a specialist in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology and obtained PhD in Clinical Neuroscience at Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana.
She established the Sleep Laboratory at the University Medical Centre in Ljubljana in 1995, and is the Head of the Sleep Centre. She is involved in many clinical and research projects in the field of sleep disorders and is the author of scientific publications on the topics of sleep disorders. Dr. Dolenc obtained European diploma of Somnologist, Expert in Sleep medicine.
She teaches Sleep Medicine (graduate and postgraduate students) at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, is involved in organization and teaching at European Sleep Summer School and is involved in different activities of Sleep Medicine education.
Dr. Dolenc Grošelj was the President of the Slovenian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology from 2011-2018. She is the founder of the Slovene Sleep Society and serves as a Vice President of the Society.
