Christian Lunetta

Neurologist & Head of Neurorehabilitation/ALS unit

Dr. Christian Lunetta is an Italian neurologist with over 20 years of clinical and research experience in the field of neuromuscular diseases, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He is Head of Rehabilitative Neurology at the Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri in Milan, Italy, and Director of the Department of Neuromotor Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Lunetta’s research focuses on the development of new treatments and care strategies for ALS. He is the author of over 190 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has received funding from numerous organizations, including the National Institutes of Health and the ALS Association.

He served as Principal Investigator in several phase II and III ALS clinical trials.

Dr. Lunetta is committed to improving the lives of people with ALS. He is a strong advocate for patients and their families, and he works tirelessly to raise awareness of this devastating disease.
