Daniele Urso

Dr. Daniele Urso, MD, MPH, is a consultant neurologist and researcher specializing in neurodegenerative diseases. Based at the Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases and Aging Brain in Tricase, Italy, he also serves as an honorary Clinical Research Fellow at King’s College London. Dr. Urso obtained his medical degree from the Catholic University of Rome and graduated with distinction in Neurology from the University of Sassari. He further honed his expertise during a clinical research fellowship in movement disorders at the Centro Integral de Neurociencias (CINAC) in Madrid, Spain. Recently, he earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Harvard University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Global Health at the University of Geneva. Dr. Urso’s research focuses on identifying clinical and neuroimaging biomarkers that elucidate the progression of motor, cognitive, and behavioral symptoms in neurodegenerative diseases. He collaborates actively with the Global Burden of Disease Study, contributing to the epidemiological understanding of these disorders on a global scale. His work bridges clinical expertise with population-level insights, aiming to advance early diagnosis, improve patient outcomes, and enhance public health strategies for neurodegenerative conditions.
