Established in 2018, the ALS Clinic at the Medical University of Vienna provides individualized, multidisciplinary care for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Our dedicated ALS board coordinates comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, and support, ensuring optimal management for more than 120 newly diagnosed patients each year.
The ALS Clinic at the Medical University of Vienna was established in 2018 and provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Our team includes specialists in neurology, pulmonology, physical medicine, gastroenterology, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and palliative medicine, ensuring an integrated approach tailored to more than 120 newly diagnosed patients per year. The ALS Clinic also serves as a referral centre for the genetic diagnostics. Furthermore, our ALS research group conducts both clinical and basic science projects and is involved in multinational collaborative research, contributing to the global effort to advance understanding and improve outcomes in ALS.
