Valentina Gnoni
Neurologist

Dr. Valentina Gnoni is a Neurologist and Neurophysiopathologist currently working as a Consultant Neurologist at the Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases and Aging Brain, where she also serves as a Sub-Investigator in several randomized clinical trials. Dr. Gnoni is also a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London, where she obtained her PhD in Neuroscience. She is a certified Sleep Expert by the European Sleep Research Society and an Ambassador for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She completed her medical degree and Neurology /Neurophysiopathology specialty training at Catholic University in Rome and afterwards worked as a Neurologist in the United Kingdom. During her time in the UK, she held the position of Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology and Sleep Medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. Dr. Gnoni’s research focuses on the relationship between sleep and neurodegenerative diseases, with the aim of understanding how sleep disturbances may influence the development and progression of these conditions, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Her work explores the role of sleep in neurodegenerative pathology through the study of related biomarkers.
