3FM Serious Request is taking action for the ALS Foundation Netherlands during the week of December 17 to December 24. True to tradition, 3FM is taking action for charity in the week before Christmas and the DJs, together with the whole of the Netherlands, are working day and night to raise as much money as possible, this year for people with ALS.
ALS Foundation Netherlands
The ALS Nederland Foundation’s goal is to fund scientific research into the cause, cure and treatment of ALS. The foundation also funds aids such as a speech computer, a wheelchair bus or a folding electric wheelchair. The right tools give people with ALS and their loved ones freedom of movement to celebrate life. To raise as much money as possible for the necessary research and support of patients, 3FM Serious Request is taking action this year for the ALS Nederland Foundation. The money raised by 3FM Serious Request this year will be used for the necessary research and support of patients.
Leonard van den Berg, coordinator of the ALS Center Netherlands and initiator of TRICALS: “We are of course extremely happy with this action. Due to a number of substantive scientific developments in recent years, it is extremely important to accelerate research into ALS at this very moment. We can use the money raised by Serious Request to scale up ALS research.”
About 3FM Serious Request
3FM Serious Request commits to charity every year in the week before Christmas, this year to the ALS Foundation Netherlands. From December 17 to 24, the radio station and all of 3FM’s online and social channels will be completely dedicated to the campaign and live radio and online content will be produced 24 hours a day from the Glass House on the Grote Markt in Nijmegen.
