Join our highway towards a cure
Currently, less than 5% of patients participate in clinical trials. TRICALS aims to open clinical trials to all people with ALS – giving them and their loved ones the chance to make a meaningful contribution to ridding the world of ALS, forever.
The direct involvement of people with ALS is essential and urgent. Each person with ALS holds an important piece of the puzzle, and putting the puzzle together will help us to find new and more effective treatments. We believe that with our new approach, where we all work together, we can make the difference. When we all work together, we can build a highway towards a cure.
How does TRICALS work?
TRICALS aims to speed up the development of new medicines for ALS. To effectively do that, the direct involvement of people with ALS, PMA and PLS is essential and urgent. Each person with ALS, PMA and PLS holds an important piece of the puzzle, and putting the puzzle together will help us to find new and more effective treatments.
You can help by registering with TRICALS. After your permission, we will inform you on trials that are recruiting patients and you will be invited to an ALS centre that you chose, for further counselling and screening. Even if there are no suitable trials, your participation will help us to further unravelling this complex disease by submitting your data, and participating in other types of scientific research.Register now
Register as a patient
If you are an ALS, PMA or PLS, you can register as a patient in the TRICALS database. During registration you will be asked for your personal details and to submit some basic information about your disease.
When you have succesfully registered trained staff from your countries’ TRICALS centre will look at your data and will invite you for a pre-screening by phone.
If your pre-screening is successful and you fulfill the minimum requirements of an active trial, you will be invited for a screening in one of the participating trial centers in your country. If this screening is successful you can participate in an active trial.
Our mission is simple: find effective treatments for ALS
Strength in unity
“I would say that there is strength in unity. Although there are only few of us, if we all contribute a grain of sand, in the end we can build a beach”
Making a difference
“I find it important as a patient to have an influence and to convince other patients that they will join and make a difference”
